Service Commitment

  • Our Mediators are selected for their experience, reputation and commitment to the Mediation process, together with their knowledge and experience within their specialism.
  • Our Mediators adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators, if relevant the Family Mediation Council Code of Conduct, together with the Code of Conduct of their respective Mediation professional bodies, such as Resolution, Family Mediators Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
  • Our Mediators are all affiliated to professional bodies relevant to their sphere of specialism and adhere to the Code of Conduct of each of those professional bodies published from time to time.
  • Midlands Mediation will seek feedback from clients and reviews the performance of its Mediators.
  • All Mediators engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year. Mediators are required to undertake CPD within their professional specialism. Lawyer Mediators for instance require 16 CPD points per annum in accordance with the Law Society requirements. Continuing Professional Development is also required in relation to their continuing performance as a Mediator, in accordance with their Mediation professional body. In addition, our Mediators are often team training support and professional development by engaging in Co-Mediation models whereby a Co-Mediator may seek to support, assist and engage in an ongoing Mediation or alternatively observe Mediation and provide feedback. In such circumstances the consent of the parties will be sought.
  • Midlands Mediation has a complaints procedure. We are committed to fully investigating any complaint made by a client.
